Maria Frattura Jazzed Up Trio has been playing in and around the Boston area for several years. Her musical influences include iconic performers such as Laura Nyro with Labelle, Motown harmony groups, Al Jarreau, and Joni Mitchell, to name a few. Gerry is an award winning 7-String jazz guitarist who has toured the USA and Canada, been the recipient of national awards and appeared on over fifty recordings.
Their collaboration, reminiscent of the pioneering work in this genre by jazz vocal icon Ella Fitzgerald and jazz guitar legend Joe Pass, reflects their combined years of experience learning their craft as well as a mutual respect for each other’s artistry.

Hatha Yoga will now run weekly on Mondays at 10:30am. Hatha Yoga includes yoga poses, breathing practices and meditation/ mindfulness techniques. The class has a strong focus on safe and proper alignment, and breath and body awareness. We work toward strength, steadiness, flexibility, balance, concentration and calming of the mind. The slower pace of the class with longer holds in poses (compared to flow or Vinyasa classes) allows for attention to detail. Modifications are offered as needed, and the use of props is welcomed. In this workshop you’ll learn a simple method for sewing together small fabric squares to create a classic nine-patch block. This timeless design becomes a beautiful and versatile piece you can use in many ways.

For many people, stitching becomes a form of active meditation—especially if sitting still in traditional meditation is difficult. You’ll leave with a finished fabric square and the skills to continue stitching anytime you want a moment of calm. No prior sewing experience is needed, and all supplies will be provided.
