Giovanna is a first call jazz singer in the greater Boston area known for emotion packed renditions and original interpretations of jazz standards. Gerry is an award winning 7-String jazz guitarist who has toured the USA and Canada, been the recipient of national awards and appeared on over fifty recordings.
Their collaboration, reminiscent of the pioneering work in this genre by jazz vocal icon Ella Fitzgerald and jazz guitar legend Joe Pass, reflects their combined years of experience learning their craft as well as a mutual respect for each other’s artistry.

Join The Silver Unicorn Bookstore and True West Brewing Co. for the launch of Silver Unicorn’s inaugural Mock Awards program -- their new Mock Caldecott and Mock Newbery programs.

This fall, they're launching four new programs, with an eye toward both getting kids reading more and helping schools get good books for their classrooms and libraries in an efficient manner. The four programs are:

- Mock Caldecott: The books we think are contenders for the Caldecott Medal 

- Mock Newbery: The books we think are contenders for the Newbery Medal

- The Fun-decott: Picture books that probably won't receive Caldecott consideration, but are fun and engaging that your students will love.

- The Fun-bery: Chapter books that probably won't receive Newbery consideration, but are fun and engaging that your students will love.

Each program will feature 20 books, and schools, educators, and libraries can get a discount on them when they order either the whole set or most of the whole set (15 of 20). The Mock Caldecott program will also come with a free lesson plan for educators!!!

The unveiling of each list will be on this night, Mock Awards Night, and it will be a celebration in the finest sense. We will be joined by a powerhouse lineup - Aaron Becker, Winsome Bingham, Mary Lee Donovan, and Brian Lies!!!

In this Dungeons and Dragons Adventure, you shall conquer the character sheet, uncover the mysteries of the dice, and revel in the magic of group storytelling. Choose a character from our curated selection that stirs your soul and embark on a brief yet tantalizing adventure to glimpse the wonders this grand game holds.

We shall commence with an introduction to the diverse classes and races, delve into the fundamentals of roleplaying, and grasp the core mechanics through immersive play. While you are welcome to bring your own dice and quills for note-taking, provisions shall be available for those in need.
