WWI Poster Viewing with Dr. Elliot Lilien

2017 marks one hundred years since America entered Word War I, 'the war to end all wars.' This Veterans Day weekend, join Dr. Elliot Lilien for a drop-in viewing of his personal collection of WWI propaganda posters. At 2:30pm Dr. Lilien will share brief remarks about the posters' historical context and artistic merit followed by an opportunity for Q+A. WWI era background music provided by Thomas Ruggles.  All Posters Are For Sale By Check Only. 

Dr. Elliott Lilien taught at Concord Carlisle High School from 1965 to 2000. He holds degrees from the University of Chicago, Columbia Law School, and Harvard University. He has a wealth of knowledge about European history and a talent for describing historical events in a manner that is unique and engaging.

Dr. Lilien's poster collection will be displayed in The Gallery at Villageworks throughout the month of November.
