This workshop will combine gentle yoga, acupressure, myofascial release techniques and yoga nidra to balance our bodies for the Autumn season.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we have reached the element of Metal, the time of Autumn. The harvest is done, the growing season is over, and nature shows us how to fall away from outer-directed energy, letting us spiral back inwards. In this place of letting go, we cast off what we no longer need and get back to our essence. This is the time of autumn. In our workshop, we will explore the principles of Chinese Medicine and Five Element Theory. We will learn how acupressure works, how to hold acupoints, and how it all relates to yoga. We will open our bodies with a mindful yoga practice, balance the energy pathways of autumn with acupressure points and myofascial release techniques, and end with a long guided relaxation to integrate the effects of your practice.
