Build Your Future: Choices…Connections…Careers
14 Session Unit begins October 5, 2015
The National 4-H Curriculum, Build Your Future: Choices…Connections…Careers consists of nine activities that target high school students in grades 9-12. The purpose of the curriculum is to help youth develop skills and knowledge in career exploration. Using identified learner outcomes and success indicators, we lead fun, interactive learning experiences that help participants experience a variety of learning methods such as developing a business plan, competing in a quiz bowl, creating a portfolio, analyzing case studies, and discussing questions that reflect on their experiences. These interactive activities enhance learning and retention. Most activities range from 30 to 90 minutes.
There are 14 sessions meeting on Monday nights from 6:30-8pm at Danny’s Place Youth Services 537 Massachusetts Avenue Third Floor. Dates include: October 5 and 19, November 2, 16, and 30, December 14, January 5 and 25, February 8 and 22, March 7 and 21, April 4 and 25.
