Chris Fitz "Bigger Soul" Band

FEATURING HOLLY CAMERON & BEN KNIGHT

CHRIS FITZ and his blues/rock power trio The Chris Fitz Band has garnished more than a dozen music awards over the last 24 years as one of New England's premier acts! A Boston Music Award in 2001 for "Outstanding New Blues Act," multiple "Outstanding Blues Guitarist and Entertainer" awards, and a trip to the International Blues Competition in Memphis are a few of the band's accomplishments.

In 2016, Chris discovered classically trained and up and coming soul singer HOLLY CAMERON at a Karaoke night and played a "blues" gig with 20-something keyboard and singing phenom BEN KNIGHT. Immediately the wheels started spinning.

The Chris Fitz "Bigger Soul" Band was born as an offshoot of the "Power Trio" that has been Chris' bread and butter for so long. Holly sings to the heavens and Ben's funky piano and soulful vocals are a perfect foil for the power and soul of the Chris Fitz Band engine.

Featuring classic R&B and Soul music from legends Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Glady's Knight, Bill Withers, Patti Labelle, Alicia Keys, and even Dolly Parton, along with the original award-winning music of Chris Fitz, The "Bigger Soul" Band has brought the house down at every performance. Dancing is mandatory and more showcase shows are on the horizon for 2019!!!

Acoustic Roadshow & The Mike Payette Band

Acoustic Roadshow & The Mike Payette Band

Two great bands perform on one stage, both featuring local vocal phenom, Mike Payette. With a career spanning decades, Mike is a well-known and respected member of the Greater Boston music community. In addition to his years of live performance as a singer and bass player, Michael has sung on numerous radio and television ads in the Boston market. (Perhaps you can hum the “1-800-54-GIANT” or the “We’re the One for You New England, New England Telephone” jingles. If so, you learned them from Mike!)

“Acoustic Roadshow” plays acoustic versions of the harmony-rich songs many of us grew up with (The Beatles, CSNY, Steely Dan, The Beach Boys). “The Mike Payette Band” plays classic rock, funk, old-school pop, R&B (The Police, Toto, Journey, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bill Withers) — definitely dance-worthy.

Mike was a founding member of several sought-after function bands including “Moonglow,” a band he led for more than a decade.

In 2014, Mike was asked to premiere two as-then unknown songs written by Brad Delp — the former lead singer of the band “Boston” — at the Brad Delp Foundation Gala, “With a Little Help from His Friends.”

Joining him tonight are Chris Leadbetter (guitar, vocals), Daniel Webster (keyboards, vocals), Seth Botos (drums, vocals), and Brian Butler (percussion, vocals).

Dance to Make a Difference for the Congo Clinic Initiative

Hosted by Highrock Covenant Church, come dance with DJ Shin Maeng, enjoy appetizers, dessert, and a cash bar, raffles of coveted items from local merchants, tastes of Congolese culture, and more.  Come for a NIGHT OUT to have some fun, make new friends, and have an impact that reaches all the way to children in Congo.

All proceeds from this event support the CONGO CLINIC INITIATIVE.

The Democratic Republic of Congo is a growing vibrant nation whose infrastructure has been destabilized by years of civil war, leaving some areas in extreme poverty. One out of every five children die before the age of 5 in Congo due to preventable diseases.  The mission of the Paul Carlson Partnership (www.paulcarlson.org) is to catalyze the growth of self-sustaining families and communities in places of deep poverty in Africa through investment in medical and economic development.  Highrock Acton has come alongside the Paul Carlson Partnership, and become one of 108 churches to support 108 medical clinics in the Congo that are providing accessible, front-line life-saving health care to those who need it the most.  Highrock Acton partners with the Kanana Clinic, a village of over 4,000 people that is 21 miles away from the nearest hospital. We have made a five-year commitment to come alongside the Kanana Clinic, sending at least $10k a year, to raise the standard of healthcare and provide preventative medicine, electricity, refrigeration, sustainable solar energy, clean water and salaries for the 3 person clinic staff.

Tickets: $30 per person available for purchase until February 7.
