From Revolution Community Yoga:
These days an increasing number of people are being diagnosed with depression and anxiety. But honestly who isn’t stressed out and struggling with their emotions at times?? We are all under so much mounting pressure that it can be hard to figure out how to manage it and keep things together. Our culture encourages a “quick fix” attitude to dealing with emotions which includes taking medications (prescription or otherwise,) drinking alcohol, smoking pot or using other drugs, eating sugar/other unhealthy foods, shopping, gambling, etc. Over time these substances and behaviors can end up causing more problems which we are not prepared to handle.
If this sounds familiar (actually how could it not?) then help is on the way!! Come join us for a fun, interactive workshop that focuses on an integrative mind/body/spirit health model for healing. This 2 ½ hour workshop will focus on creating behavior change that includes the physical, emotional, environmental, nutritional and spiritual factors that lead us towards health and wellness. The workshop will be 75 minutes of presentation and one hour yoga practice to help ground the body and prepare us to take the next steps along the path of recovery. This workshop is perfect for anyone in recovery from substances or other related addictive behaviors, people who have lived or are currently living with someone struggling with addiction, or anyone who feels that they are ready to make a change in their life just need some extra support!
